Ttáwax̲t Birth Justice Center is evolving! We are currently undergoing a period of growth and reflection to realign our team and enhance how we serve our community. But don’t worry, we’re still here for you! Our commitment to the community and to growing healthy Indigenous families hasn’t changed. We look forward to keeping you updated on our progress and new service models. Please reach out if you have questions or need assistance during this transition.

Here’s the quick rundown of what’s up:
- We’re growing! Our team has grown. We now have seven Indigenous Birth Justice Advocates! (Meet them on our staff page.)
- Our vision is still the same: We’re still all about “Honoring a Healthy Indigenous Way of Life that heals and strengthens kinship and community.”
- Things are changing a bit: Some services are hitting the pause button temporarily, while others are switching up how they operate. We’ll go into more detail on this below.
- Need to see us? We are by appointment-only right now. Call us at 509-938-0670 to schedule an appointment.
Here’s the scoop on specific services:
- Clinic is temporarily closed: Our women’s health clinic on the Campbell Farm is temporarily paused. But we’re still working with Dr. Jordann Loehr and her team at HD Rose. Our Care Coordinator Chestina can help you coordinate care with them or any other clinic you see.
- Breast/Bodyfeeding Support is available: Got questions about feeding your baby? Lena from our Lactation Support Team is here for you! Give us a call to discuss your needs.
- Plant Medicine classes are on hold: The classes are paused, but we’re still prepping medicines for the community. Connect with us if you want to chat.
- Sewing classes are moving around: Sewing classes are returning soon: Keep an eye on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
- Baby boards and moccasins are still happening: Our Rematriation Advocate Leslie is meeting one-on-one with families to make those beautiful baby boards and mocs for the newest little ones. Give us a shout to set that up.
- Group Support Circle is paused: The group is taking a break, but Leslie and Community Engagement Manager Nicole are still here if you just need someone to listen. Please connect with us if you are in need of support.
How to connect:
